ARENA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
For Undermine(d), we're moving to three qualification Cups in Season 2 that will lead into the AWC Gauntlet and Grand Finals with a $200,000 (USD) prize pool. We’re making these changes with new exciting programming we're planning to introduce with an eye on bringing cross-region competition back for PvP later in the year.
Beginning today, teams in Europe and North America can sign up on Raider.IO for The War Within Season 2 Cups, where they'll earn the new Prized Champion's Prestigious Banner as they battle for their chance to advance to the Grand Finals. This banner will be exclusively available via the Arena World Championship program by registering for the online Cups.
There will be three open Cups per region, where teams will compete for points and $20,000 (USD) prize money per Cup. Following the Cups and the AWC Gauntlet, the remaining four teams in each region will face off in the Season 2 Grand Finals for their share of the combined $200,000 (USD) prize pool!
MYTHIC DUNGEON INTERNATIONAL
In Season 2 of The War Within, we're returning to a full-season model with MDI and a large capstone Global Finals to determine the season's ultimate champion. We're excited to return to this full-season model to ensure teams can put everything into one focused season with epic Global Finals and a further season of MDI planned later in Season 3. We're also planning other events later in the year, which we're excited to share in the future—more info to come!
The format for Season 2 of The War Within will be focused on Mythic Dungeon key pushing, which will be the primary focus of Mythic Dungeon International competitions going forward. Starting today, players can register on Raider.IO to access Tournament Realms and earn the in-game Season 2 Banner—Prized Banner of the Algari!
The Time Trials for Mythic Dungeon International Season 2 are open registration and begin April 26, where the top 24 teams globally will advance to the MDI Groups.
In each MDI Group, eight teams will compete pushing keys for a share of $30,000 (USD) in prizing, and one of the top spots to qualify for the MDI Global Finals. The top six teams from Group Stage will join two teams from the China region to battle it out at the Global Finals for their share of the $300,000 (USD) prize pool and the title of MDI Global Champion!
We can't wait to get the Season 2 competitions underway, so sign up Raider.IO. Stay connected—subscribe to our Twitch and YouTube channels and follow the WoW Esports Twitter.
Good luck, and have fun!
