Blizzard Removes Seasonal Achievements and Rewards From 12000 Players
The World of Warcraft operations team in China has announced penalties for players who exploited game bugs in Mythic Dungeons and engaged in wintrading in Rated PvP during The War Within Season 1.

A total of 8992 players lost the "Tempered Hero" end of season title and achievement, while more than 3000 PvP players are currently facing similar sanctions. Below is a rough translation of the original post.

In Season 1 of The War Within, some players obtained excessively high ratings by exploiting game bugs, either personally or through teammates, including, but not limited to, abuses of the Dream Surge spell. These actions created unfair competition, violated the principles of fair play, and negatively impacted the experience of legitimate players.

As a result, we are revoking the "Tempered Hero" title and achievement from 8992 players who personally exploited bugs or benefited from teammates who did. Additionally, more severe offenders will face account suspensions as a warning.

The "Tempered Hero" title and achievement will instead be awarded based on rankings that exclude bug-related gains—congratulations to these rightful winners!

We are also actively addressing concerns regarding PvP rating manipulation. In Season 1, over 3000 players have had their seasonal rewards revoked or their accounts suspended.

The Chinese World of Warcraft operations team sincerely reminds all players that exploiting bugs not only disrupts the game environment and affects others' experience but also tarnishes your own achievements and reputation. Please refrain from using exploits and actively report any players engaging in such behavior.

With Season 2 challenges now underway, we wish you an enjoyable gaming experience!
